· ATA (Analogue Telephone Adapter) Device Registration
Within the Device
Management section of the Jola Wholesale Portal, your provisioning team will
need to register the Mac address of each device, then give
it a name (we suggest the site it is being used for and the customer name).
Once the device
registration has completed, please allow a few minutes for the device
properties to be synced before it is ready for service.
· SIP Overlay Services
There are two
options for numbering when providing a SIP overlay service:
1.
Purchase of a new number
This is where
a new number is due to be provisioned for the SIP Overlay Service. You can
access the SIP Overlay Order provisioning wizard on the Jola Wholesale Portal
by following these steps:
- Select the top Products menu > then select the SIP Overlay link.
- Within the SIP Overlay Dashboard, select the Order Management link
from the left hand menu.
- Within the Order Management screen, select the green Create New
Order button. This takes you to the ordering wizard.
- Within the Number Details step, select the Purchase new number’
option, then provide the required details of the number.
- Select a Number Type.
- Select a Region/Area.
- Either select an existing contact, or
provide the details of a new contact.
- Complete the remaining steps of the wizard.
- On the Order Details step, you can
optionally choose to select a registered ATA device, and an unallocated
port to associate your service to.
- Once the hardware is installed on-site and the cabling is completed
on-site, the user will be able to make inbound/outbound calls
2.
Using an approved Port
(existing number)
This is where an
existing number will be ported onto the platform
- Access the porting provisioning wizard on the Jola Wholesale
Portal.
- Place the port request as per the usual process.
- Once approved, the order for the SIP
Overlay Service and port allocation on the ATA can be completed.
- Within the SIP Overlay Dashboard, select the Order Management link
from the left hand menu.
- Within the Number Detail step, select the Select an approved port
option, then select an approved port from the dropdown list.
- Complete the remaining steps of the wizard.
- On the Order Details step, you can
optionally choose to select a registered ATA device, and an unallocated
port to associate your service to.
- Once confirmed that the port has been completed, plug the cabling
for the service on-site into the hardware.
- The user will be able to make inbound/outbound calls
It is also possible
to associate a port on an existing device to an existing SIP Overlay Service.
- From the SIP Overlay Dashboard, select Device Management from the
left hand menu.
- From the list of existing Devices, click the blue Manage button
corresponding to your chosen device.
- From the Device Management screen, select the Port Allocations tab.
- Find the device port you wish to associate. You can choose to
rename the port if you wish.
- Update the SIP Overlay Order Ref against the port, selecting the
desired SIP Overlay Service from the list.
- Ensure the Enabled checkbox is checked against the port.
- Once happy with your updates, click the green Save button in the
bottom right corner.
- Please allow a few minutes for your updates to the synced to your
device. Keep checking the Configuration Rebuilt date/time value against
the Device, shown in the portal.

Additional notes
Each port/Service requires its own SIP Overlay
service, provisioned on the Wholesale Portal
If porting numbers, only when the port has been
