Voice portal - JolaPhone

How this Feature will help you

It allows you to set up a central number to then manage certain Feature settings from any Device, such as Auto Attendant greetings. This can be particularly handy when working remotely.

Users can also dial into the Voice Portal to update settings for the following User Features: Call Forward Always, Hot Desking, and Flexible Seating.

How to set up and use this Feature – on the Business Portal

Click on the Voice Portal settings icon on the Features page.

Tick/untick the box to turn the Feature ‘on’ or ‘off’.

Once you’ve set up your Voice Portal, the basic information will be displayed in the table. Click the ‘Manage Portal’ button to input the details.

Manage Voice Portal

Type in a name for your Voice Portal.

To access the number from an external Device not registered to the service, select a number from the drop-down menu. For internal use, where you access it from a Device registered to the service, select ‘No number’ and type in the extension number.

Ticking the ‘Alias dial-in’ box will require Users to type in their full phone number, not just their extension, when using a Device different to their primary one.

Ticking the ‘Enforce new passcode set up’ will require Users to create a new Voice Portal passcode the first time they dial in.

Once you’re done, simply hit ‘Save’. You can go back and update these settings at any time.

Additional information

For Users to access the Voice Portal, you need to provide them with the telephone number and/or extension number, and the passcodes if required.

Every User with the service has a Feature called Voice Portal Calling. If they enable it, they can dial into the Portal from a registered Device without the need to enter a passcode.
