It allows you to set up a central number to then manage certain Feature settings from any Device, such as Auto Attendant greetings. This can be particularly handy when working remotely.
Users can also dial into the Voice Portal to update settings for the following User Features: Call Forward Always, Hot Desking, and Flexible Seating.
Click on the Voice Portal settings icon on the Features page.
Tick/untick the box to turn the Feature ‘on’ or ‘off’.
Once you’ve set up your Voice Portal, the basic information will be displayed in the table. Click the ‘Manage Portal’ button to input the details.
Type in a name for your Voice Portal.
To access the number from an external Device not registered to the service, select a number from the drop-down menu. For internal use, where you access it from a Device registered to the service, select ‘No number’ and type in the extension number.
Ticking the ‘Alias dial-in’ box will require Users to type in their full phone number, not just their extension, when using a Device different to their primary one.
Ticking the ‘Enforce new passcode set up’ will require Users to create a new Voice Portal passcode the first time they dial in.
Once you’re done, simply hit ‘Save’. You can go back and update these settings at any time.
You can update your Administrator passcode by clicking the ‘Change Passcode’ button.

To access the Voice Portal via your registered IP Phone, push the ‘*’ key followed by the extension number of the Voice Portal. Just make sure the ‘Auto-login’ option is turned off.
To access it using another Device, dial the dedicated Voice Portal extension number or full telephone number.
Then enter the passcode followed by the ‘#’ key.

You can access this Feature from a softphone with dialling capabilities using the same instructions in the section above.
Setting the Voice Portal Feature on an Application won’t update the Business Portal or any other Devices you may use.
For Users to access the Voice Portal, you need to provide them with the telephone number and/or extension number, and the passcodes if required.
Every User with the service has a Feature called Voice Portal Calling. If they enable it, they can dial into the Portal from a registered Device without the need to enter a passcode.
