You can use Schedules to create time of day and/or specific day rules on certain Features used by all your Sites, such as Auto Attendants, Call Centres and Hunt Groups. Having these rules will help you manage calls to your business more effectively.
For example, you can create a rule that forwards calls to another Hunt Group or department during a holiday period, such as Christmas.
Click on the Schedules settings icon on the Features page.
There are pre-populated Holiday Schedules for you, which you can view and apply to other Features where necessary. In addition, the following UK Bank Holidays will automatically be built along with the reference of 'System'; England & Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
First click ‘Add Schedule’.
Type in a name for your Schedule.
Then select if you want to create a ‘Time’ or ‘Holiday’ Schedule.
Choose the time period by clicking on the digital clocks and select the days you want the Schedule applied to.
For each Time Schedule you can add up to 20 time/day periods by clicking ‘Add another time period +’.
Once you’ve finished creating your Time Schedule, simply hit ‘Save’.
Start by giving the event a name. For example, if your Schedule was called Holidays, one of your event names might be ‘Christmas Shut Down’.
Select a ‘From’ date and time, e.g. 25 December 2021, 00.00. Then a ‘To’ date and time, e.g. 1 January 2022, 23.59.
For each Holiday Schedule you can add up to 20 events by clicking ‘Add another event +’. For example, you could add another event called ‘Easter Shut Down’.
Once you’ve finished creating your Holiday Schedule, simply hit ‘Save’.
After creating your Schedule, you’ll be redirected to the main page where all your Schedules will be listed. From here you can delete them, edit them, and add new Schedules.
Any Schedules you create here will only be available to the Site it was created on and the Users belonging to that. If you want it to be available to all Sites then you should navigate to the Features side bar menu item from the Company Dashboard where you can create it once for all Sites and Users.
