To reduce the chance of missing an important call, Sequential Ring will call up to five other Devices in order if your primary office Device is unanswered. This could be your business mobile, personal mobile or a colleagues office Device for example.
Click on the Sequential Ring settings icon on the Features page.
Click ‘Add Ring List’.
Type in the number of the first Device you’d like to ring when your primary Device is unanswered, then select how long you’d like it to ring for.
If you want to stop the other Device’s Voicemail from picking up the call, tick the ‘Answer confirmation required’ box.
You can add up to five numbers in total, which will be called in order. Simply hit ‘Save’ once you’re done.
After adding your Ring List, you’ll be redirected to the main page. Here you can manage the Ring List you just created, edit the main Sequential Ring settings, and add/manage rules.
To activate this Feature, you need to add a rule with a Time Schedule, even if it’s the default one of ‘All day, every day’.
First click ‘Add rule’. There’s a default ‘Time Schedule’ of ‘All day, every day’. To create more Time Schedules, click ‘Add Time Schedule’. You can find out more about this by reading the ‘Schedules’ Feature article.
Type in a new ‘Rule name’, choose a Time Schedule from the drop-down menu, then click ‘Continue’.
You now have the option to apply the rule to ‘All phone numbers’ or ‘Selected phone numbers’. If ‘Selected phone numbers’, you’ll be notified when they call but not others. Type the ‘Selected’ number into the field and click ‘Add another number +’ – up to a maximum of 12.
You can also choose telephone numbers that match a pattern or digit string – such as a particular area code. To replace the digits at any point in a phone number use a question mark (?), e.g. ????? 123456.
You can also choose to include calls from ‘Private’ and ‘Unknown’ numbers. Selecting one or both these boxes will result in the calls being forwarded.
Once you’ve finished creating your new rule, simply hit ‘Save’. You can go back and edit the rule should you need to, toggle it on/off, and add as many new rules as you like.
Towards the top of the page under ‘Settings’, click ‘Manage’.
Tick the box if you’d like your primary Device to ring before the Ring List, then select for how long.
To stop this from happening when you’re already on a call, simply tick the ‘Skip when busy’ box.
To allow the caller to interrupt the Sequential Ring Feature, tick the box and they can then push x which will take them straight to the Users Voicemail or other forwarding option if available.
Hit ‘Save’ when you’re finished.
Sequential ring will still ring your main device, but in addition will ring other devices in the order you set.
You can manage the Sequential ring Feature via some of our Applications. Please check the relevant Application to see if you can.
Sequential ring will ring devices in a set-order and is limited to 5 devices. Alternatively, there is a similar feature called Simultaneous ring that works almost the same, but allows you to have up to 10 additional device/numbers ring, and they all ring at once.
