QR SIMs' in Mobile Manager v1.1

QR SIMs are activated in the same way that physical SIM cards are activated within Mobile Manager. Vodafone QR SIMs are currently the exception to this, please speak to your Account Manager for details

These can be located in the Assign SIMs section of the Mobile Manager portal and can be identified by the SIM Type column.

When a QR activation order completes, a ‘QR Details’ tab is displayed in the SIM Details section (see below).

The QR can be scanned from the screen in Mobile Manager or it can be emailed to a User via the QR Details page.

NB - The email will be sent to the address specified from the Partner’s email address (the address specified when your Mobile Manager platform was created). The content of the mail is:

Dear customer,

You have ordered a QR SIM from us. It is now live.

To use the SIM, please scan the QR code below and follow the instructions on your device. Your Mobile Number is xxxxx xxxxxx

Should you not be able to scan the QR code for any reason, the QR payload can be manually typed or copied/pasted in to the relevant field on a device to load the SIM.

The QR payload is included on the page and also on the email (if you send it). The payload is what is translated in to a QR code but if the user is not able to scan the QR code for any reason, the QR payload can be manually typed or copied/pasted in to the relevant field on a device to load the SIM

Notes

When QR code SIMs were first available some were sent in the post as hard copies on a piece of paper. The QR Details tab will not appear in Mobile Manager for these SIMs.

Vodafone QR SIMs are not yet displayed in Mobile Manger this way but will be in early 2024
