To use 2FA it currently needs to be enabled on an individual basis for all Admin and Customer users.
NB – Jola will develop an option to enable a Reseller to force all users on their Mobile Manager platform to be enrolled in to 2FA. We will announce when this feature is available.
When 2FA is enabled, after entering username / password, the user will be presented with this screen when logging in and the verification code will be sent via SMS.
- Partner (Admin) Users need to be enabled for 2FA by Jola staff. Upon request, Jola staff will enable 2FA and add the mobile telephone number to receive the verification code via SMS.
- If the Partner has customers with access to their own SIMs on Mobile Manager, they can enable 2FA on those Users.
To do so, the Partner should go in to the Customer in question on Mobile Manager, Click on the ‘Users’ tab and then for the user in question, click on ‘Edit’.
- The mobile number may have been added to the ‘Phone Number’ field previously but if not, add it (or update it).
- Toggle ‘Enable 2FA’ to ‘On’.
- The User will receive the SMS code and be required to input it the next time they log in.
- This process should be followed for all users that the Reseller wants to be forced to use 2FA (and also when adding new Users too)
- As per the screenshot above, there is the tickbox ‘Remember this browser?’ If a user ticks this box and successfully logs in using the verification code, they will not be prompted for the verification code again as long as they are using the same browser when logging in to Mobile Manager
