JolaNet - Recommended Speed Test Sites
If you are experiencing issues with Line Performance we recommend carrying out Speed Tests using the following sites. These tests help us diagnose potential faults with customer equipment/bandwidth saturation which will prevent the potential engineer costs if the root cause of issues is customer equipment.
If this is a Leased Line, this test must be carried out whilst plugged directly into the Suppliers router by configuring your network card to the Lines IP information.
The following steps help to have a large sample size of speed tests.
1) Two Speed Tests to be run
2) Run the same tests on a separate browser e.g. Chrome and Internet Explorer
3) The device needs to be the only one connected to the LAN
4) If possible, run the same tests on a separate Laptop or PC
5) This needs to be run via a Cat5e cable or above as lower quality cables produce reduced speeds
For speeds up to 500Mbps
For speeds 500Mbps and above
