Starlink with Jola

Jola delivers next-generation satellite internet to meet the connectivity demands of modern businesses, whether fixed locations or in motion use, in the UK or across the globe.

Powered by Starlink, our solution offers high-speed, prioritised data connectivity where traditional broadband cannot reach. Ideal for sectors like construction, logistics and events.

Satellite is also being used in sites that need diversity in connectivity technology for resilient failover.

Jola provides multiple hardware options, flexible data plans, survey/installation services and UK-based support.

Dealer Model only

Starlink have effectively made indirect reselling impossible.

Jola Partners can still make money from Starlink but need to sign the new Jola ‘Commercial Dealer Fee Agreement’.

As a Dealer, the Partner is able to send quotations to end-users and share the margin with Jola when the customer signs the contract. The end-user is a Jola customer, billed by Jola, with 1st Line Support provided by the Dealer.

Speak to your Jola Account Manager about the Dealer model and to get a copy of the Dealer pricing.

Survey and Installation support

If survey and installation services are required, Jola has partnered with Satworks as a trusted partner for Starlink deployments.

See price list for details and pricing.

As the Jola Partner is responsible for 1st Line Support on the Dealer model, the default option should be to take the paid survey / installation option to ensure that the Starlink is set up correctly.

Pricing & Positioning

  • Starlink do not offer pricing to make it easy to sell through The Channel.  This inevitably means higher pricing to end-users compared to what they can get direct.  This is why Jola Dealers are more likely to be successful when offering Starlink as part of a solution with additional services and/or as part of a managed network
  • Starlink offers Residential and Business services.  Jola only supplies the Business service; Jola Partners should be conscious that their customers may inadvertently compare the Residential pricing that they see online with the Business service

Data Management & Flexibility

  • Bolt-ons: When generating the quote for the end-user the Partner chooses whether to include auto-bolt-ons or not
  • If auto-bolt-ons is not selected, bolt-ons can be requested ad-hoc and are processed via a manual order within 1 business day
  • Plan adjustments: Tariffs can be upgraded or downgraded monthly, with changes effective from the 1st of the following month

  • Usage monitoring: Starlinks are added to the Mobile Manager of the Partner to assist with 1st Line Support. The Jola Partner can give the end-user customer access to view their Starlink on Mobile Manager. The customer user can also be enabled to receive alerts.
  • Alerting: Mobile Manager will generate alerts when usage hits 50%, 75%, 90% and 100% usage (including bolt-on data if any has been added)
  • Starlink Self-serve App: Needs to be downloaded to the user’s phone / device from the usual app stores. The Starlink mobile app provides usage data and diagnostic information (requires the user to be on-site and connected to Starlink Wi-Fi)

Partner Guidelines & Considerations

  • Please also familiarise yourself with the the ‘Jola MSA - Product Schedule - Satellite Services’ on the Jola extranet > Terms and Conditions. The Dealer order process involves the end-user agreeing to the conditions in this schedule plus the ‘Jola MSA – General Terms’.

  • Branding restriction: IMPORTANT – Partners must not market themselves as “Authorised Starlink Resellers”. This is essential to maintain compliance with Starlink’s policies
