Guide to Jola SIP Manager SMS Two-Factor Authentication



Jola SMS Two-Factor Authentication is a feature on the SIP Manager portal that adds additional layer of security beyond just a password, making it harder for unauthorised users to gain access to an account. 


This guide explains, step by step, how to enable Two-Factor Authentication on the SIP Manager portal.


Please note that at the moment users can set up the Two-Factor Authentication against their account themselves. In Q1 2023, Jola will be adding optional feature that enables Resellers to enforce all users under the Reseller account to have 2FA set up against their login. 


In order to enable the SMS Two-Factor Authentication, please follow the steps:


  1. Log into SIP Manager portal.
  2. On the top right of the screen, click on your username:

  1. Click on the ‘Update My Security Settings’.



  1. Tick the ‘Set Two-Factor Authentication’ tick box and provide your Mobile Phone number, to which you wish to receive the code for 2FA. Click ‘Save Changes’.

  1. Next time you log in into SIP Manager portal, you will be presented with the screen below. Click on ‘Send SMS’. You will receive the text message with the security code on the Mobile Phone number you have provided when setting up 2FA.

  1. Insert the security code that has been provided via SMS and click ‘Submit’. You will successfully log in into the platform.
