You can create a directory of external contacts, up to 1000, that your users regularly make or receive calls to and from, such as a supplier or key customer.
Once complete, you can add it to supported Devices on a Site using the Phone services Feature.
Click on the Group contacts settings icon on the Features page.
Then select ‘Add Contact’.
You can also Click 'Import Contacts' in the below format.
Type in the name and telephone number for the Contact.
Once you’re finished, simply hit ‘Save’.
After adding a new Contact, you’ll be redirected to the main page where all your Group contacts will be listed. From here you can delete them, edit them by clicking the settings icon at the end of the line, and add new ones.
If you enable Phone services both at the site and user level, then this will ensure users will be able to see these contacts from within the devices local directory.
If you enable Phone services both at the site and user level, then this will ensure users will be able to see these contacts from within the applications local directory.
Before updating a Group or Company Directory, you must first disable the Phone Services Feature.
When adding your Contacts you can use alpha numeric characters A to Z, both upper and lower case, and 0 to 9. The only special characters supported are a hyphen (-) and an apostrophe (‘). Although we recommend not using apostrophes in Group Contacts as some Devices may not support it and the Contacts will be inaccessible from the Device.
