It gives you an added privacy option where you can either allow or stop somebody from seeing your phone number in their dialled list, when another User has forwarded their call to you.
As an Administrator, you can manage this Feature, but Users can’t.
Click on the Connected Line ID Restriction settings icon on the Features page.
By default, the Feature is turned ‘on’. This will stop your number from being viewed by other on-net Users when calls are forwarded to you.
You can toggle the Feature to ‘off’. Although this will show and retain your number in an on-net caller’s dialled list when a call is forwarded to you, even though they didn’t call you directly.
Unless an administrator has changed the codes, users can dial *56 from their Device or supported Application to check if the feature is enabled or disabled.

Connected line ID restriction is only available for on-net calls, and all Users whether inside or outside your company, need to be on the same platform, i.e. have this Feature available to them.
