To give you greater control over who can handle certain incoming calls, you can create Pickup Groups that allow any User within them to answer.
Think of it as an even more simplistic version of the Hunt Group and Series Completion Features.
Please note, while you can set up Pickup Groups on the Business Portal, Users can only use the Feature from a Device or Application with Access Codes.
Click on the Pickup Group settings icon on the Features page.
Then select ‘Add group’.
Type in a name for your group.
To add Users, search for their name and select them once they appear. Add all Users for that Pickup Group and hit ‘Save’.
You can go back and remove Users afterwards should you need to.
After creating your group, you’ll be redirected to the main page where all your Pickup Groups will be listed. From here you can delete them, edit them, and add new ones.
You can answer calls within a Pickup Group on your IP Phone using the following Feature Access Codes^:
^ Unless your Administrator has changed the codes.
^^ This will be prevented if the user has enabled the feature ‘Call barge-in exempt’
The same instructions apply for an Application as an IP Phone – please see above.
Pickup Groups can only be created by a Service Provider, Company or Site Administrator.
Your Site can have multiple Pickup Groups, but a User can only be in one group.
