Call hold (User) - JolaPhone

​How this Feature will help you

You can place a call on hold, then perform another task like contacting another User, before retrieving the call afterwards.

This Feature isn’t customisable on the Business Portal and is done using your Device if it is compatible.

How to set up and use this Feature – on an IP Phone

To place a call on hold, simply press the corresponding key on the phone that appears next to the ‘Hold’ button.  Once the call is placed on hold you should have access to the following additional options:

  • Resume – take the caller off hold and continue the conversation.
  • Transfer – transfer the caller to another User, please see the Call transfer feature for details on transfer options.
  • New Call – make another call out then return to the held call.
  • End Call – finish the call.
  • Call Park – park the call, please see the Call park feature for more details.
  • Conference – add another person to create a three-way call, please see the Three way call feature for details.

How to set up and use this Feature – on an Application

You can place calls on hold directly via some of our applications. Please check the relevant Application to see if you can.

Additional information

Call Hold works in pretty much the same way on all Devices with some minor variations possible on different manufacturers devices.
