To make it easier for you to track and audit calls, Users can assign an Account Code to certain outgoing calls, which will show up in your billing reports. For example, to charge clients for long-distance calls. Authorisation Codes allow you to choose which Users will be required to enter a code before they can make outgoing calls.
If Authorisation Codes are required, Account Codes cannot be enabled on the same Site.
Click on the Account And Authorisation Codes settings icon on the Features page.
Click the ‘Manage Settings’ button.
Select if you want to use Account Codes, Authorisation Codes or no codes at all.
Choose the length of your code from the drop-down menu, this ranges from 2 digits to 12.
Tick the ‘Allow local/freephone calls’ box if you don’t require Users to input a code for these types of calls.
Hit the ‘Save’ button when you’ve finished.
Click the ‘Codes’ tab in the Feature’s left-hand navigation bar.
Click the ‘Add code’ button.
Add a numeric code for the length you chose on the ‘Manage Settings’ page.
Give your code a description.
Hit the ‘Save’ button when you’ve finished.
The code will appear on the ‘Codes’ page. If required, you can delete it by ticking the corresponding box and clicking the ‘Delete code’ button.
You can choose which Users need to input an Account or Authorisation Code – depending what you selected on the Manage Settings page.
Click the ‘User Restriction’ tab in the Feature’s left-hand navigation bar.
Click the ‘Manage Users’ button.
Type a name in the search bar to find the Users that are required to add a code.
Choose all the relevant Users, or click ‘Select all Users’ if everybody needs to add a code.
You can remove Users from the table by clicking the minus symbol next to their ID. Or remove everybody by clicking ‘Remove all Users’.
Hit the ‘Save’ button when you’ve finished.
You’ll then be redirected to the User Restriction page where all Users will be listed. To make any changes, simple hit the ‘Manage Users’ button.
This tab will only appear in the Feature’s left-hand navigation bar if you selected ‘Account Codes’. It enables Feature Access Code based Account Codes.
Please note, a User cannot be on the Account Codes list and the Feature Access Code based Account Codes list at the same time.

Click the ‘Manage Users’ button.
Type a name in the search bar to find the Users that are required to add a code.
Choose all the relevant Users, or click ‘Select all Users’ if everybody needs to add a code.

If you selected Account Codes or Authorisation Codes, when a User makes an outgoing call, they will be prompted for a code. After entering it correctly, the call carries on as normal.
The same process applies for an Application as an IP Phone.
If Authorisation Codes are required, Account Codes cannot be enabled on the same Site.
A User cannot be on the Account Codes list and the Feature Access Code based Account Codes list at the same time.
